Sorry, I just ran across you tonight... is your work about cancer the zodiac sign or cancer the disease. I thought it was the later but others are speaking differently. Did one inspire the other?? As a cancer survivor I relate to the lonliness in this piece and the hovering life. I guess your intentions could go either way, I am just curious-
Naiomi, this is one of my favorite works of yours. I have admired your work at Elfwood, then as Eppilogue and now i am so glas I found you here. you are one of my favorite artists ever. THanks so much for giveing us your art
i love it! i know that she is too depressed or going to self-suicide and i must feel guilty but her breast really catch my attention at the first sight... what it could be? i mean is that about something freudian or because of her breasts at the center of your work or because of magnificent dress ?... i don't know... well, this is looks like a gothic ophelia and as i said i love it!
Fascinating. At least that's the first word that comes to mind. I'm no huge fan of this dark artwork and manipulation--despite my morbid interests--but I am very fond of this. Beautiful work. Heh. Though I'm sure you needn't hear that from me.
Beautiful work! I'm a Cancer, and she definately looks like one! The moon face and delicate structure is perfect. I'm glad to have found a piece on a zodiac figure--especially my sign! This is going in my favs!
Beautiful piece. Her face is amazing and I love her dainty hands in the awkward pose. She looks like someone you'd be scared to hug for fear of breaking her. The cardinals are an excellent touch, as well as the noose in the rafters. It's permeated with this feeling of desolation and impending doom. Awesome.
